In
the world of photography, everyone is aware of the fact that photographers are taken
by cameras. The camera is mainly handled by a cameraman or a photographer. A
photographer is a person trained in clicking pictures. He is the one who
provides you with the raw photograph.
Introduction
To Old Era
Before,
the digital era, people used to click pictures with cameras, which had a much
larger size than today’s cameras. There used be films which used to store the
images clicked by the photographer. They were also known as negative films.
These negative films were basically used to bring the coloured image of the subject
in the photograph.
Digitalization
But
with time, people started to keep these negatives stored digitally by scanning
film negatives to digital.Everyone, wanted the pictures to be stored
digitally because films used to take up a lot of space and people had to take
care of them. So, that they don’t get damaged.
Hence,
keeping negative films was way more tough than keeping them safely stored on a
digital device.
Therefore,
digital film scanning began and everyone started keeping their pictures stored digitally.
Digital film scanning therefore led to the commercialisation of the image
storing.
Trends
in photography and film development
Even
the videos that were recorded on tapes were digitally stored by converting filming
tape to dvd and
hence saved on a digital device. This way the images and videos can be
transferred easily and hence, making the data much more portable and easy to
retrieve.
Digital
film scanning therefore makes the most important aspect of photography easily
accessible and securely stored.
